White Chunk Orange Cookies

If you're looking for something a little different in a cookie, try White Chunk Orange Cookies. This has been one of my Christmas cookie recipes that I've had for years. The white chocolate chucks in this cookie recipe don't over power the orange flavor. They are good enough to give as a gift.

2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
3 tsp. grated orange peel
2 c. white chocolate chunks or chips
Preheat oven to 350° F.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in larger bowl until creamy. Mix in orange peel and egg. Gradually add flour while mixing well. Stir in white chocolate chunks or chips. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased baking stones.

Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until edges are light brown. Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire racks.

Makes about 3 1/2 dozen White Chunk Orange Cookies.

White Chunk Orange Cookies are one of many delicious holiday cookie recipes you will find.
