Spicy Deviled Eggs

Deviled Eggs are a favorite dish in my family. So when my daughter ask me how to make deviled eggs I was happy to share my recipe and told her that this recipe was just a basis for a great deviled egg recipes. I told her she could add many different things to it to make it her own and to experiment with different flavors. This recipe with horseradish is one I use most often.

  • 6 hard boiled eggs (see note below for the perfect boiled eggs)
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. horseradish
  • dash of pepper

Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks into a bowl and mash with fork. Add all ingredients and mix until creamy. Fill egg white halves. Arrange on plate and sprinkle with paprika or for a little extra zip, crushed red pepper flakes.

Plate of Deviled Eggs

For the perfect boiled eggs:

Place eggs in pan and fill with cold water. Bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and cover. Let stand for 1/2 hour. Run under cold water. Use for your recipes for store in the refrigerator.

Deviled Eggs are good anytime and can be used with many of my Holiday Recipes.
