Chicken Burgers
Don't confuse this Chicken Burgers recipe for those dry, chicken patties you find in the freezer section of your grocery. This recipe uses fresh ground chicken breasts mixed with seasonings that give them a juicy, flavorful taste.
For the Chicken patties: - 1 1/2 lbs. boneless breast meal, skinned (about 5 breasts)
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp. vegetables oil
- Your favorite bun. Mine is a sesame seed topped kaiser roll
- Turn the chicken breasts into "ground" chicken for your Chicken Burgers(see below).
- Place the chicken in a bowl and add all the remaining ingredients. Mash together using your hands. Form into 4 patties.
- Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over high heat. When hot, add the patties. Sear briefly, reduce heat to medium-high and fry, turning once. Cook until well browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. These are also excellent cooked on a grill.
- Serve on your favorite bun and top with fixin's.
